The tribute to the Archduchess Marie Antoinette is inspired by the Queen of France who presided over the ‘Reign of Terror’ at the height of the French Revolution in 1792. She was imprisoned, tried and convicted of treason by the National Assembly. Her last words were, "Pardon me Sir, I meant not to do it", spoken to her executioner, whose foot she accidentally stepped on before she was executed by guillotine in 1793.
