Queen Midas

This tribute to Queen Midas, who is the fictitious consort of King Midas originated from Greek mythology, is popularly remembered for the ability to turn everything that was touched into gold with what became known as the ‘Midas touch’. She represents the feminine version of chrysopoeia, the alchemy of transmutation of an object into gold.
