The tribute to Metropolis is inspired by Fritz Lang’s 1927 German expressionist film (by the same name) and lends homage to the massive futuristic mega-city of Metropolis. In this sprawling city, society is divided into two classes: one of planners and management, who live high above the Earth in luxurious skyscrapers, and one of workers, who live and toil underground. The film explores the futuristic urban dystopia and the ensuing social crisis between workers and owners in a capitalist structure.
